The Georgia Public Defender Council is thrilled to announce that registration is now open for our 2025 Summer Public Defense Conference!
Hosted by the University of Georgia School of Law, this three-day event will take place from Monday, July 21 to Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
This year, we are making exciting changes to deliver an even bigger and better conference experience. The event will begin on Monday at the UGA Center for Continuing Education & Hotel, where all attendees will gather in one location for the opening sessions. The day will conclude with an awards banquet and reception celebrating outstanding public defenders. More details, including how to nominate your peers for recognition, will be shared soon.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, training sessions will take place at the UGA School of Law and will feature specialized content designed for administrative staff, attorneys, investigators, and social workers. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn CLE credit, enhance their professional skills, and connect with colleagues from across the state.
Important Registration Deadlines & Information:
To secure hotel accommodations through GPDC, you must register by June 15. No reimbursement will be provided for hotel rooms
The final deadline to register for the conference (without hotel accommodations) is July 7.
